During the Global Issues Summit each group was assigned a country for us to have a mock United Nations meeting. My group was assigned Israel. The presentation of this project occured in a 3 day event know as the Global Issues Summit. During this event we were required to use proper parlimentary procedures and depict the views of our individual nations. The goal of the summit was to determine if it was in your country's best interest to forma coalition for education first. Each nation was required to write an opening statement that would be read to all the nations at the beggining of the summit. We also had to write a resolution document describing what we think should be done into order to either improve education for our country or for all the countries. During unmoderated caucus we spoke to the individualnations to try to get them to sign our resolution. As Israel, we aquired 2 signatures from France and Pakistan. On the last day of the summit each nation read their resolution aloud and the other countries voted on it. Our resolution passed with a 2/3 majority of 3-6. In addition to the opening statement and the resolution statement we also had to write a position paper depicting our country's views and create an infographic including information about our country.
